Work through the pain
Although I’m not able to get the gym as often as I’d like, for various reasons, one thing I do make sure to do after working out is hitting the sauna.
Getting through a single work out is difficult in itself. The pain, fatigue and stiffness usually hits almost immediately. However, the pain that comes after, most times lasting for days is even worse.
This pain isn’t your usual muscle pain from working out, it’s more of a deep pain. It feels like your bones are hurting, like something is digging deep into your soul. Although it’s unbearable, it’s not going to go away so you just have to work through it.
One thing I did find that helps with the after pain though, is the Sauna. The heat and steam helps relax you, and helps ease the tension. Which in turn helps diminish the pain for a bit.
Although you know for the next few days you’re going to hate that one hour of work out, the 10 mins of ease makes a world of difference.
If anyone else has any ideas to get through the pain of working out when dealing with this disease, all suggestions and comments are welcome!!
